This is a pretty basic book about feminist principles. It’s kinda like an introductory text for people who think feminism just means men and women should be equal. Lola Olufemi gives quick (sometimes reductionist) overviews for topics like sex work, food, and prison to show that feminism actually means something more like caring about people not profit. It’s recognizing that some of the most important intellectual labor is looking beyond a specific person or issue or behavior and instead analyzing how we got there systemically. It’s purposefully noticing how interconnected we all are. Hopefully this will invite more people to more revolutionary thinking and thinkers.
