I know people just bought a bunch of stuff for Christmas, but this is a good time to start a new book. The year is transitioning, the holiday season is almost over, and the winter is really starting. Shipping is free on everything on the site right now and up until New Years Day. If you don't know where to start, you can check out my top picks here: Top Picks.
Right now, I'm rereading The Idiot by Elif Batuman, and it is so good. Her prose are so easy to read. You don't want the book to end. The amount of time you spend holding the book is something I've been thinking about. The physical composition, how it feels in your hand. I took the book jacket off within the first few pages just to be more comfortable reading it.
The biggest book I have for sale is definitely The Andy Warhol Diaries. Similarly, I took off the book jacket when I first went through it. One thing about that book that's cool is how detailed he is in writing the times and dates and prices of items in his life. He is very particular and casual in his writing style. It's a cool book to even just sift through and see what his daily life was like.
